With the release of the teaser for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, the world of Demogorgons, mall rats and Cold War paranoia expands in a bold new direction. The brief preview signals a deliberate return to the cultural heartbeat of the mid-1980s, the year when Stranger Things arguably hit its nostalgic sweet spot.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 takes place between the events of the second and third seasons of Stranger Things, and follows the group, Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, and Max, as they unravel a “paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.” The Duffers intend to capture the feel of an ’80s Saturday-morning cartoon in the Stranger Things universe.
